This is my 33rd year of being a Technology Education teacher. I was already teaching in the district when I helped open our high school in 1991. Along with the other subjects that I teach, I've been a Home B.A.S.E. teacher since the program's inception eight years ago.
I am an avid bicyclist having ridden across the United States, in other parts of this country, and in England and France. I also sail a Hobie Cat 18' and an ice sailboat in the winter that I built in 1996 with our Home B.A.S.E. English teacher, Mr. Buford.
I believe in teaching in learning communities such as Home B.A.S.E. The experiences that I've had working with students to help end poverty housing in America while engaging them in the school curriculum has transformed me both as a teacher and as a human being.
